Hey folks,
Here's the latest beat:
This coming Sunday the 22nd I'll be playing at the Gravity Lounge in Cville, as part of a group of local superstars swapping songs in the round. This is a benefit concert to help keep the club from going under, and as depressing as that sounds it will be made far less so with your company. An evening of mirth. Lots of different sound palates to choose from. Go to gravity-lounge.com for a list of the other performers.
In promotion for the show I'll be a guest on Anne Williams' Acoustic Sunrise tomorrow morning (the 19th), playing a few cuts of my up and coming album "The Magical Talking Fish", so tune if you're near a radio -- 91.9, starting at 9am.
And here's something else:
Latley I've been involved with a blossoming concert series entitled "Soup and Song", presented by the Barnswallow, an arts cooperative in Crozet. Along with scrumptious homemade soups and breads, and a little wine to let the medicine go down, they present a showcase of local talent in an intimate setting, surrounded by inspiring works of art. Comfort food for the soul, you might say.
This Saturday the 21st they will be presenting Jeff Romano and Tom & Emily, two sets of perfomers of exceptional quality. Dinner starts at 6:00, music (followed by brief intermission and then more music) starts at 7:00, go to thebarnswallow.com for ticket info.
All the very best,
Thomas
