Thomas Gunn Music News

The latest

Howdy y'all,

Hoss Gunn comin' at you, here to tell you I am now playing upright bass in a great new band, Dallas Wesley and the Lost Highway.  We play Hank Williams covers, some say better versions than the originals, and we've got a big show coming up at Live Arts in Charlottesville, on June 15th.  This is in the big theatre, which has comfortable seats, mood lighting and a great sound system.  Come check it out, I believe it will be a stupendous evening.

Radio Show

Forgot to mention, I will be on the radio tomorrow, April 28th, at 5:00pm.

The show is called Folk and Beyond, it's on 91.1 in Charlottesville.  Call letters, WTJU.

Impending Thomas Gunn show

Greetings, fellow travelers,

Wanted to let you know that next Saturday, May 1st, I'll be playing at Cville Coffee, a great relatively new venue in the great and relatively old city of Charlottesville.  The first set will be solo me, then I'll be joined in the second by Tom Proutt on guitar and Michael Clem on upright bass.

Just finished a new country song, inspired by my recent foray into acting with Live Arts presentation of the life of Hank Williams, which I will be more than happy to play for you,and Cville coffee has alcohol.

See you down the road,

Maiden Voyage of Cville Coffee Sound Stage

Disregard Rapunzel's email

Hey folks, disregard the newsletter you just received, it's out of date.  My newsletters seem to have a mind of their own at present.

Anyway, here's the latest beat:

Upcoming events

Hey folks,

Here's the latest beat:

This coming Sunday the 22nd I'll be playing at the Gravity Lounge in Cville, as part of a group of local superstars swapping songs in the round.  This is a benefit concert to help keep the club from going under, and as depressing as that sounds it will be made far less so with your company.   An evening of mirth.  Lots of different sound palates to choose from.  Go to gravity-lounge.com for a list of the other performers.

Ringing in the new year

Happy '09!

Just to let you know, I'll be playing a solo show at Rapunzel's this coming Saturday the 10th of January, sharing the evening with local songwriter Joia Wood.  Joia and I will start with separate sets, then end the evening swapping songs and talking smack.  Show starts at 8pm, bring a friend, hope to see you there!
