Ringing in the new year

Happy '09!

Just to let you know, I'll be playing a solo show at Rapunzel's this coming Saturday the 10th of January, sharing the evening with local songwriter Joia Wood.  Joia and I will start with separate sets, then end the evening swapping songs and talking smack.  Show starts at 8pm, bring a friend, hope to see you there!

Disregard Rapunzel's Email

Hi everyone,

An email publicizing my Rapunzel's show from August 16th earlier this year has been erroneously sent out, ignore it, the show already happened!

The Barn Swallow/Gravity Lounge email is legit, hope to see you there, and sorry for the confusion.

October Shows

Hey Folks,

Got two great shows coming up.  The first is this Friday the 24th at the Barn Swallow in Crozet, the second on Monday the 27th at Gravity Lounge in Cville.

The Barn Swallow is a pottery studio that sponsors other artists' works in the area of painting, metallurgy, weaving, glass blowing and more, a wonderfully intimate atmosphere in which to hear (and play) music.  This will be a solo show, I'll be previewing songs for my up and coming album "The Magical Talking Fish".

Rapunzel's Show

Great show lined up for this coming Saturday the 16th.  I'll be sharing the evening's music with friends Bill, Linda and Ginger, also known as the Front Street Band, then joining me onstage playing keys will be Bob Holub from Charlottesville, a super- talented musician and songwriter in his own rite.  These folks all make great music, straight to your heart like a cannonball.

Go to c-ville.com to check out a couple new tunes I recorded this past week live at Cville weekly.  The songs have yet to be released on CD, so you can think of this as a bit of a preview...

Two shows coming up

Hello all,

Got two shows coming up. The first is this Friday evening at Baine's Books and Coffee in Appommatox, sharing the stage with good friend Bill Staton of the Front Street Band. Baine's is a great little joint -- lots of books worth perusing, a LARGE collection of country and bluegrass CD's, add home cooked food, you've got a winning combination. Music starts at 8:00.

May Shows

Two shows this month, hope you can make it!

Saturday, May 3 -- Baine's Books and Coffee, 20 Main Street, Appomatox; this is a shared billing with my friends the Front Street Band, an acoustic trio with georgous harmonies and amazing musicianship.  They are in the process of recording a CD that will include my song "Ma Jolie", with me sitting in on upright bass.  Show starts at 7pm.

Dr. Ho's Revisited

Hello all,

I'll be playing tomorrow night (Tuesday, March 4) at Dr. Ho's Humble Pie in North Garden, joined by my good friends John Kokola and Laura Eve. Come join us for an evening of warm weather, good food, and great music!

Show starts at 7pm, hope to see you there,

Thomas

Modern Folk at Dr. Ho's

Hello all,

I'll be playing at Dr. Ho's Humble Pie in North Garden this coming Tuesday, January 8th, from 7 to 9 pm. Casual atmosphere, no clothing necessary, and with Dr. Ho's new ownership the menu has expanded beyond pizza. Just exactly how far beyond you will have to come see for yourselves, but I've heard it's good!

Hoping 2008 is your year,

Thomas

Little Grill show

Hello all,

Just wanted to let you know, I'll be playing a show this Friday at the Little Grill Collective in Harrisonburg, sharing the billing with my good friends, the talented and lovely (both interchangeable) Tom & Emily. Show starts at 9:00pm, come join us!

John Hammond show

Hello all,

Just wanted to let you know, I'll be opening for John Hammond on Friday, September 7, at the 214 Community Arts Center (used to be called the Prism). John Hammond is a phenomenal blues guitarist and legendary performer who, for five days in the sixties, had both Eric Clapton AND Jimi Hendrix in his band at the same time. How many people can say that?

This is going to be great show, hope to see you there!
